Homebuyer Education (HBE)
PMI will no longer offer its online Homebuyer Education (HBE) counseling program, effective March 15, 2010.
For the vast majority of programs we insure, industry program requirements no longer mandate pre-purchase counseling. However, we understand that many borrowers may still find these programs useful. We encourage your borrowers to seek out one of the numerous community-based organizations that continue to offer these programs directly to prospective homebuyers. Borrowers may also want to check with their local office of housing and community development for a listing of education providers in their area.
