PMI ediXML and Integration Options
PMI’s Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) information transfer and delivery system offers a range of services that interface directly with our customers’ information systems. PMI can provide EDI transactions for both origination (MI Ordering/Rate Quote) and policy servicing.
Fast. Flexible. Seamless. ediXML saves time by reducing repetitive data entry of loan information, as well as phone calls, faxes, and other manual steps during the MI origination process. You can obtain delegated commitments faster, and significantly improve workflow efficiencies. EDI Services currently available via PMI’s ediXML channel:
Order Mortgage Insurance
- Submit delegated requests to originate MI Certificates.
- Response provides the status, certificate number, rate/premium information, and the PDF of the Commitment, if approved.
Rate Quote
- Provides flexibility in the amount of data required in the request: accepts the same data set used by the MI Origination request, or a subset of that data.
- Response includes rate and premium information.
Cancel MI Application
- Submit transactions to cancel suspended or committed MI insurance requests.
- Certificates that are in force cannot be cancelled via this process.
